Frames & Custom Layouts

Flinzy gives you two ways to control how your photos look: browse ready-made frames from the frame library, or build your own custom print layout from scratch.

The Frame Library

The frame library contains hundreds of professionally designed frames, organized into categories — seasonal themes, aesthetic styles, simple borders, and more.

To add frames to your event:

1. Open your event and tap the + box in the Templates section on the event detail screen
2. Browse frames by category using the tabs at the top
3. Tap any frame to select it — a checkmark appears
4. Tap multiple frames to add more than one
5. Tap Save Changes when done

When multiple frames are selected, guests can swipe between them during the photo session and pick their favorite.

Create Your Own Custom Layout

If you want full control — exact photo placement, your own background, your text — use the custom layout editor.

To open the editor:

1. On the Choose Templates screen, tap the Design category tab
2. Tap the + (Create Layout) box

Step 1 — Choose a Print Size

Select the print size that matches your printer paper:

The canvas updates instantly when you switch sizes.

Step 2 — Add Photo Slots

Tap the + button in the toolbar to add a photo slot. Each slot is where one guest photo will appear.

• Drag to reposition a slot anywhere on the canvas
• Pinch to resize
• Add as many slots as you want — one photo, four photos, a strip layout — it's up to you

Step 3 — Add Text, Stickers, or QR Code

Use the toolbar at the bottom of the editor:

• Text — add a text label, then tap it to edit the content, font size, and color
• Stickers — browse the sticker library and tap one to place it on the canvas
• QR Code — adds a QR code element that displays the event sharing link

All elements can be dragged and resized after placing them.

Step 4 — Set Your Background

Background color: Tap the color swatch in the toolbar to open the color picker. Use the eyedropper to sample a color from any image on your device.

Background image: Tap the image icon to upload a photo from your device's gallery as the background.

Step 5 — Save

Tap Save in the top-right corner. Your layout is saved and immediately appears in the Design category, ready to select for your event.

Tips

• Match your print size to your printer paper before designing — a 4×6 layout won't print correctly on 2×6 paper
• You can create multiple layouts and switch between them per event
• Layouts are saved to your account and available across all your events
